Cant see it from the pic, but there were blue skies overhead. That storm was above a rocky mountain a mile to the left and few thousand ft up!

Last few days

Very sorry i haven't posted much the last few days. The rides have been gorgeous, but very tiring. Yesterday, we crossed into Colorado from New Mexico. It's fascinating to see the gradual changes in scenery and weather patterns. There's so much greenery here in CO, the rockies are stunning and the climbs and descents are exhilarating. Today, we reached our highest point of elevation at the la veta pass at an elevation of 9,413 ft! Luckily, nobody came down with altitude sickness, but at these heights anything is possible. Tonight, we're staying in a days in colorado city off the I-25. In the last two days, we've traversed the entire rocky mountain range. We can see the last (or first) of the mountains from our hotel.
